But different Jewish people have differing opinions about it.

If you are divorced, you cannot get married again in a Catholic Church.

Many Christian priests refuse to marry same sex couples, regardless of the laws in their country.

The US marries off 10 year olds - even as it has harsh laws about "consent". (No reason to think Israel doesn't do the same - there are certainly big problems there that no outsiders - even no state - can investigate).

Why are you demanding different standards from traumatised and destitute people in the desert from those operated in the US?

I think these are questions that you should answer - otherwise, you look as if you're defending religious and national despotism.
