The Barrier is a protection which was erected to protect Israel , it was put in place after the dozens of suicide bombers which easily entered Israel and now cant .

My Daughter came with in seconds of such a bombing one night at a club (The Dolphinarium,) and I have seen two buses seconds after such bombings

The paymasters of Hamas have been Iran who are having increasing problems with their monthly stipend to their various proxies , Qatar has stepped into the breech with monthly cash payments of $30 million but this in reality does not pay the running costs of the Hamas Organization which includes Schools , Hospitals and of course their Militia and weapons development 

Israel has very recently found a very deep highly sophisticated tunnel running from Gaza into Israel and the cost of the development of the tunnel would be somewhere in the 2 to 3 million dollar range (we have uncovered similar recently running from Lebanon into Israel) 

We have stopped the Qatar payment and this is affecting the running of the Hamas agenda thus their rocket fire , most fell into waste land some were taken down via Iron Dome 

The burgeoning accords with the Gulf States and Sudan (with others to follow) sits very badly with both the Palestinians in the West Bank and Hamas who see their brethren selling them out and with every few months that pass their cause slips further from the public notice

One of the events of the tunnels has been the development of Israeli technology to find the tunnels which ultimately is neutralizing the enemies capabilities

Israel is a nation stratified (read "apartheid operating") like no other.
