A 17-year-old girl violently raped in a Perth cemetery by alleged Claremont serial killer Bradley Edwards testifies she was so terrified during her ordeal, she thought she was going to die.

I really cannot understand our wilful and pointless abuse of such victims by forcing them to relive their ordeal.

What does it add to the trial? That she was a nice well-spoken girl and therefore the crime was more serious than other attack rapes?

This trial is the biggest thing to hit our sleepy little state in... ever.

Besides, it happened like 25 years ago.

She would not be there if she couldn't handle it.

The more that is piled on Edwards, the better the chance that he will tell the police where he dumped Sarah Spiers.

Ah, completely missing from the snippet you posted.

And missing the fact that he's pleaded guilty to that rape.

Ah.

However, you're doing no favours to anyone suggesting that he's guilty of the murders and can say where her body ended up.

Unless he carefully buried the body (which seems unlikely) knowing what he did with the body won't help anyone. Well, I don't think it does.

It would help her parents get closure.
