When the year 1999 became 2000, I remained calm because Friday becomes Saturday every 7 days and the novelty had worn off decades earlier.

On 2019-01-01, people across the globe got into hysterical excitement just because a new year had arrived.

We are still in 2019.  Why ain't they equally exited ?

Alas, many on here need no excuse for a booze-up.

I predict the same hypocrisy will repeat itself on 2020-01-01.

I was annoyed at everyone who thought January 1st 2000 was the beginning of a new millennium.

January 1st 2020 will NOT be the first day of the new decade, but it will be the first day of the last year of this decade.

It's basic maths, people!

Well its still 2019 so you must remain consistently happy.

Retarded people wait all year long just so they can use the old fashioned word: "merry" in the context of commercial Xmas.  They never use it beyond that context.

As in ...

Old king Cole was a merry old soul and a merry old soul was he.

He called for his wife, in the middle of the night, to go to the lavatory.

The lavatory was being used and so was the kitchen sink.

It had to be done, it had to be done so out the window went his bum.

Queen Victoria was passing by and got a sausage in the eye,
