This forum is probably the most interesting and diverse forum that Delphi offers.  The participants R not the usual people I  see in most of the other Delphi forums.  So many topics.

TWO forums U  say?  What is the other one?  Is it also Delphi?  I for One don't understand how U can keep up because just reviewing the news of the day takes an extraordinary amount of time.

In any case, Kudos.

Well, thank you Jay!  That really brightened my day.

The other forum has a niche devotion to a single game people play.

I have staff there.  They are wonderful.  I only pop in and change the header every day, really.  It lets the members know I still exist.  But without politics, the forum runs VERY smoothly.

CoCo (nickname for the forum) is my baby, though.  However this week has been pretty hectic, so I have barely had any time to get in here.

I do pride myself on having a balance of international news.  Most debate forums have five folders devoted to America and one for "everywhere else".

And they don't take kindly to new folk.

It's strange how often I am attacked for knowing what is going on outside my own country.  Apparently it's none of my business.

Advice from a 90 yr old Delphi member for about 12 years.  Keep on doing what you're doing.  You R a breath of fresh air...we may  not disagree or agree from time to  time but we do it with pizazz...lovin' it.

You're 90?!!

What's your secret?

(Please say plenty of wine, please say plenty of wine, please say plenty of wine, please say plenty of wine, please say plenty of wine, please say plenty of wine, please say plenty of wine, please say plenty of wine)

And thank you for the compliment!

One day I discovered sweet Jerepiko and Muskadel wine.  Three days alter, I flew away somewhere which had no Jerepiko or Muskadel.   I suffered withdrawal symptoms.

Upon arrival back home, the craving evaporated because those wines were so easily available at every street-corner shop.  I still drink them in moderation.

Whenever I like something, it soon goes off the local market.  That happened with 3 liqueurs and a certain shandy.  Also I can't find cowboy jackets nor civilized ponchos.

Oh, Harold, you really make my day.

Is there such a thing as a civilised poncho?

Yes.  My wife spent countless hours making patches for my  poncho from thick heavy wool.  I  cannot recall if she said it was knitted or crochetted.  Its all the same to me,  It measures 1.3 x 1.2 m.  My wife misconceptualized how I wanted it to look so she had to add on the sides later.   She also made an identical heavy blanket.  My offspring moan if I fetch them from school wearing my poncho, or stetsons or camoflage or purple crocs or a combination thereof.

If that is a pic of your poncho, your wife crocheted, not knitted, it.  It is made up of crocheted "granny squares".  BTW, she did a VERY nice job of it.

Thank you.  She moans if I wear it back-the-front or upside-down or inside-out.   But I cannot tell the difference.  She also knots or crochettes clothes or blankets for worshipful babies and toddlers.  Most have cartoon characters which toddlers will soon recognize.
