Suppose a child molester was caught red-handed, would there be any need for an expensive tax-payer funded trial ?

What would be the appropriate punishment to deter other offenders ?

a ) A wrap on the knuckles.

b ) A jolly good scolding.

c ) A fine, not exceeding US$ 100.

d ) Debollocation

e ) 50 years hard-labour on a on a chain-gang with a ball and chain.

f ) Firing squad.

g ) Electric chair

g ) Guillotine.

i ) crucifixtion.

----------------------

I reckon options d) and i) would be most appropriate and I would enforce it without burdening tax-payers by a cent.

Illogical point and factual error.

For "caught red handed" to apply this would mean that the judge and jury were witnesses. "Red handed" is simply a loaded opinión, and needs a trial to determine guilt.

As for "Debollocation", while this is a punishment for the perp, it does nothing to prevent him from doing it again. The crime originates in the mind and such a procedure does not change the behavior of the perp. Additionally many sex crimes have little to do with sexual gratification but power and control.
