These are wars without end , the Turks have the far more superior military but are unable to bring their power to bear on a group who know their terrain like the back of their hand , this is like so many counter insurgency wars going to go on and on until both sides agree to meet some of the terms of the other .
I am sure for Erdogan such killings he sees as an advantage and tool to allow him to continue this battle until the day comes (as they always do) that Erdogan is out of power and a new head see's advantage in peace rather than an endless conflict there is nothing to do

It appears that the Turkish army messed up and in effort to pass the buck blamed the PKK
Slighty off topic the Israeli security services have just busted a Turkish operation to supply illicit funds to Hamas , last month they interecepted $4 million in cash from Iran for weapon development

Desert fighting is the most deadly , in the jungle you can hide , in Costa Rica I saw the extent of knowledge the British and the Americans had of Jungle fighting they were invisible
