The plan would at least assure that corporations pay taxes.  Unfortunately, the increased taxes won't hurt the corporations, consumers, as always, will pay the freight.   Those nasty CEO's will still enjoy all of their perks, while we learn to do without anything that isn't necessary to stay alive - and probably some things that are.

But not to worry, you'll be able to say, WE WON!!!

So what's the alternative?  Do nothing?

Do we just resign ourselves to the fact that corporations will always win, and there is no reason for us to even try?

Do consumers have no power at all?  We have choice in the supermarket.  We have significant choice online other than Amazon.

Is there no way legislators can make laws preventing companies from gouging their customers to cover any tax hikes?

At least Biden is looking at it instead of leaving it in the too hard basket for another 4 years.

We live in a so-called free society.  If we don't like a corporation we don't buy their products or work for them.  Yes, corporations will always win - they provide the products we use and the jobs we need.  No, legislatures cannot dictate pricing.  That's going down a very rapid, slippery slope.  Biden would just love being a dictator, and is rapidly approaching just that.

Can you cite a specific example of dictatorial behaviour?

I can:

1. Systematic efforts to intimidate the media. No, that's Trump...

2. Building an official pro-President media network. No.. Trump again

3. Politicizing the civil service, military, National Guard, or the domestic security agencies. Ohh.. that bible photo-op...

4. Using government surveillance against domestic political opponents. Nope.  That was Nixon.

5. Using state power to reward corporate backers and punish opponents. This is just getting awkward.

6. Stacking the Supreme Court. They both would do that if they could.  That's a tie.

7. Enforcing the law for only one side. January 6th police response vs BLM police response...

8. Really rigging the system. Georgia on my mind

9. Fearmongering. The Republican's favourite hobby.

10. Demonizing the opposition. Both are guilty of that.  Another tie.

OK.  You need to add your specific examples of how Biden is a dictator, or, at least, wants to be.
