A conservative is convinced he has all the answers.
A liberal knows he doesn't. But he is not afraid of that.

Yes, dealing in objective reality rather than relying on 'feelings' and emotions does tend to give one actual, tangible and often plausible answers, however, unlike most liberals, we are also open to the possibility that those answers aren't entirely correct.
On the other hand, they do tend to always be consistent with our values and beliefs . . .
