Sarah Palin lost in an election that used ranked-choice voting.

This was Alaska’s first election using ranked-choice voting, in which voters list candidates in order of preference. If no one wins a first-place majority, the last-place candidate is eliminated and their votes redistributed to the voters’ second choices. The process repeats until one candidate earns a majority.

Palin will kick her ass next time, when it's just the two of them on the ballot...

I would love to see what the standings were before they started to factor in 2nd choice ballots...

It was 51-49 so it will be close. Peltola will have to be careful for eight weeks.

Irony Definition:

When a group changes the voting rules in an attempt to lose power, then those rules result in said group losing power

  1. If it was just 2 on the ballot, Palin still comes in second. Second has no points here
  2. It won't be just 2 on the ballot

"I would love to see what the standings were before they started to factor in 2nd choice ballots..."

Palin came in a distant... VERY distant second.
