The St Pauli Bunker, built in 300 days in 1942 by forced labour, will feature a 136-room hotel complete with a rooftop garden, bar, cafe and restaurant.

Why this perverse fascination with any horror that came from Germans? No mention that the White House was built by slaves.

15 American landmarks that were built by slaves - Business ...

6 Sep 2019 - Many of the United States' most famous buildings were built by enslaved African Americans, including the White House and the US Capitol.

Sure looks like anti-German racism to me - perhaps with the New York Times as the most extreme purveyor.

No historical basis for this fascination - the NYT ignored the Holocaust when it was going on. So says famous Holocaust scholar Deborah Lipstadt ("Beyond Belief" 1993, cited by Norman Finkelestein).

The following clip comes from the "larepublicacatalana" blog, but Norman Finkelstein confirms the quote (without the biographical information) in Note 4 of the Holocaust Industry p. xvi.

"All the news that’s fit to print" gloats the New York Times, but when Hitler seized power in 1933 it published one of the most servile and stupid reviews of Mein Kampf ever written outside Nazi Germany. Former ambassador to Berlin and Senate candidate for New York who defeated Franklin D. Roosevelt in the Democratic primary James W. Gerard praised "this extraordinary man":

"Hitler is doing much for Germany, his unification of the Germans, his destruction of Communism, his training of the young, his creation of a Spartan State animated by patriotism, his curbing of Parliamentary government, so unsuited to the German character, his protection of the right of private property are all good. And after all what the Germans do in their own territory is their own business, except for one thing, the persecution and practical expulsion of the Jews." ("Hitler as he explains himself," by James W. Gerard, The New York Times Book Review, 15 October 1933) See http://larepublicacatalana.wordpress.com/2009/10/16/the-new-york-times-mein-kampfel-mein-kampf-del-new-york-times/

The NYT is primarily responsible for having advanced the careers of key propagandists (profiteering dishonesty sometimes amounting to fraud) Jerzy Kosinski, Daniel Goldhagen, and Elie Wiesel. [ "Holocaust Industry", Finkelstein].

Of course, the NYT has totally reversed itself since those days, and for frequency of coverage, the Holocaust places a close second to the daily weather report.

Typically, The New York Times Index 1999 listed 273 entries for the Holocaust. The whole of Africa received just 32 entries.' (FOREWORD TO THE FIRST PAPERBACK EDITION of "The Holocaust Industry" p.xvi)

Can you believe that? The (then 60 year old) Holocaust was still 9 times more important than modern Africa - itself the home of at least two enormous genocides, up to 15 million murdered in Congo and about that number enslaved with mass-murder.

I do not know who would want to stay there.

Modern day Nazis or jet-setters with a morbid curiosity.

Save labour still exists.

North Korea is the go-to country for all your slave labour needs.

More and more of it around.

Why do you hate the victims of genocide?

20th March 2015 ... The bombing was long, leisurely and merciless, even by the assessment of America's own leaders. "Over a period of three years or so, we killed off - what - 20 percent of the population," Air Force Gen. Curtis LeMay, head of the Strategic Air Command during the Korean War, told the Office of Air Force History in 1984. Dean Rusk, a supporter of the war and later secretary of state, said the United States bombed "everything that moved in North Korea, every brick standing on top of another." After running low on urban targets, U.S. bombers destroyed hydroelectric and irrigation dams in the later stages of the war, flooding farmland and destroying crops.

... War reporters rarely mentioned civilian casualties from U.S. carpet-bombing. It is perhaps the most forgotten part of a forgotten war.

The Kims, though, have kept memories of the war and the bombing terrifyingly fresh. ... State media warn that, sooner or later, the Americans will strike again.

"It is still the 1950s in North Korea and the conflict with South Korea and the United States is still going on," says Kathryn Weathersby, a scholar of the Korean War. "People in the North feel backed into a corner and threatened."

... Since World War II, the United States has engaged in an almost unbroken chain of major and minor wars in distant and poorly understood countries. Yet for a meddlesome superpower that claims the democratic high ground, it can sometimes be shockingly incurious and self-absorbed. In the case of the bombing of North Korea, its people never really became conscious of a major war crime committed in their name. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/the-us-war-crime-north-korea-wont-forget/2015/03/20/fb525694-ce80-11e4-8c54-ffb5ba6f2f69_story.html

Excellent question Berry.

Why DO you hate the Jews?

I'm not interested in discussing Jews.

I hate racist wars and racist war-crimes - of which the Jews have undoubtedly been the victims.

I wasn's sure that the Holocaust was more important than Vietnam - but I was staggered to discover that Zionists:

1) Wanted the Jews hated (Theodore Herzl was in France and incited the Dreyfus Affair!)

2) Wanted the Jews de-homed from Germany.

3) Played a big part in the Holocaust and then covered it up (Adwil angrily denies this - why?)

4) Were the biggest terrorists in history (Adwil angrily denies this then runs away)

5) Were the most prejudiced ethnic cleansers in history, attacking people for being Christian and Muslim

And other huge evils - some of them being the worst in history - the kidnapping and torturing of kiddies.

I only ever discuss "the Jews" as victims of genocide and victims of the Zionists.

The Gaon appears to have been victimised the same as Einstein - attaching his name to atrocity.

Its fraudulent in the case of Einstein and I've only just discovered its fraudulent in the case of the Gaon.

Germany celebrates the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, which separated the Communist-ruled East from the capitalist West in Berlin for nearly three decades and became a potent symbol of the Cold War.

The Germans are very concious of this date, heard it mentioned many times.

But this is the first big anniversary I've ever noticed in this country, on the BBC a lot at the moment.
