What "experts" are there on North Korea?

Ask any of them how Korea could be peacefully re-united and understand in their angry blustering how determined they are to bring about chaos and suffering there!

And, apparently, no one can study the country in any form - politics, social issues, religion, government... none of it.

Nope.

Not the South Koreans, groaning under a quite generous occupation.

Not the Americans, who refuse to tell me how they propose that Korea be re-unified without bloodshed.

And when scientific bodies send investigative missions, like the Needham Report, the prominent members suffer really serious attacks on their careers and travel.

Still, we all know that the British and Canadian investigators of "Yellow Rain" had been blackmailed by the Russians, don't we?

Clever people those Russians, much better manipulators now than they ever succeeded in doing when they were the Soviets.

I recognise and retract my mistakes eg disputing that Yosemite Sam was a Russian troll.

Unlike some people we can think of:

1) "Israeli gas which when it comes on Line is going to be enormous (far bigger than Russia etc)"

2) "There are no reports ANYWHERE of any Anti Christian activities in Israel"

3) "Europe has more weapons per capita than the US so it goes Kids will be using them"

4) "there is no Palestinian state don't make the usual arsole of yourself"

5) There are many states with historical grievances I don’t know wether Iran is one of them

Pyongyang accuses the United States of being more and more hell-bent on hostile acts against North Korea, despite the recent historic meeting between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

We can hardly dispute that.

But still no answer to my question - how can Korea be reunified without bloodshed.

I propose that the solution is simple.

Koreans could be offered the chance of making KJU their head of state or Emperor - tasked to do these five things in perpetuity:

1) Know more people in the country than anyone else

2) Travel constantly for that purpose

3) Give up the right to express any personal political opinions whatsoever

4) Oversee the orderly handover of power from one elected leader to the next.

5) Only marry any (future) woman that all Koreans can approve

Now, I'll grant you that this transition would be extremely difficult for KJU to carry out - but he's young and personable and he'd be doing a valuable job for his country. I think it could work.

Its definitely a deal that Koreans could accept in exchange for peace - and it might give them a certain pride they've not been allowed for 100 years.

How would an independent Korea, at last free from occupation, deter aggression against itself (China across its only land border being by far the biggest threat)? I don't know - but China is not expansionist that we know of, only wants security within its own borders. A nationalist Korea with a benign head of state would not threaten it much.
