NK is not looking for war and as far as I know also the US , NK has to move and decide to lay down their nuclear weapons if they are to obtain US support and aid , for the moment the decision of the leaders in NK is to continue down the same path - so be it
They will continue to hold power until such times as elements of the army revolt , without the Army they have no power at all .
"When you see a rattlesnake poised to strike, you do not wait until he has struck to crush him". -Franklin D. Roosevelt
if it was as simple as a Rattle Snake then I am sure NK would have fallen some time ago , the reality is that NK has possibly 2nd maybe 3rd strike capability and it would only take 1 ICBM to take out NYC or LA or anywhere with a gigantic toll on life and resources .
As the World economy falters so does the NK falter even further , the leadership is FAR from stupid , they know that unless something happens they are sooner or later going to hit the fan , it is always possible that way behind the scene the US and NK are talking - the same with Iran
I just want to contrast FDR's stance to that of Barack I...
Why keep him around that long?
Do you know if the ICBM is acually operational - much of what NK and Iran does is for public consumption but rarely exists in reality
His sense of isolation is why he wants to show his toys off , when your toys are real and they can go bang you actually never show them
