For crying out loud!

So, you folks call those with dark skin "coons"? We stopped doing that over half a century ago!

I particularly liked this sentence from your link; The cheese was previously wrapped in black and given the name "Coon" as a joke, he said.

Which is a bald faced lie because that is the name of the man who invented the process to manufacture cheese on a large scale. Here; https://patents.google.com/patent/US1579196A/en

Do you ever read any 'real' news sources?

I've known many gypsies in my life. All were proud to be and were never ashamed of that term.

And, of course, how is "gypsy" a race?

I really liked this quote from your propaganda source (only one side of a question is ever presented, it seems); The Nazis subjected Sinti - the name used by ethnic Roma based in Germany for centuries - to forced sterilisation under “racial purity” laws and Roma were deported to death camps, where they wore uniforms bearing a “Z” for “Zigeuner”.

Well, so were "Jews" and "homosexuals". Should we now stop using 'those' "racist(?)" terms?

We don't, actually.

It is the cheese guy's surname, so just an unfortunate coincidence.

I couldn't find where the patent information mentioned the packaging.

Either way, the sentence you have a problem with is nothing but hearsay.

Exactly.  It's a culture.

But the Nazi connection is bad.

What's important about the packaging? Are you flailing, here, or am I really missing something?

Actually it was a quote from the Dr who seemed to have finally gotten is way and eliminated an offensive brand name. A name that seems not to be "offensive" to the people of the country in which that product is sold. Since, virtually all of them have never been called "coons" in all their history!

No, Virginia, the sky was not falling. It's called rain.................

But the Nazi connection is bad.

So, we should stop using those terms? Like Jews and homosexuals?

It's what got you upset.

Go back and read for yourself.

No, because Jews and homosexuals are just that.  The name of the sauce is an altered name, which is something the Nazis called gypsies while they were rounding them up in concentration camps.

It isn't. It's the normal German name for the Roma and Sinti. They're collectively known as Zigeuner from the Greek "singanoi"  . All the Germanic countries use the same word. The Latin countries use another derivative: gitanos, citanos, zingari. The Slav countries use  cigani.  In the UK it's gypsy or Romani.
