He loves his executive power.
I think he would grab any chance to wield it, regardless of whether he has the faintest idea what he's doing.

I haven't been able to comment recently, because of feeling so outraged and despondent about the current goings on of of Trump, the children being sent from hospitals to their death, the environmental disasters that he wants to create, tariff crisis to our farmers, spreading racial hatred, his uncouth diplomacy with other leaders. and on and on...
He is the opposite of King Midas, everything he touches turns to sh*t.
My only hope, (which seems likely), is that he will be voted out of office. Senator Elizabeth Warren is my current best choice.
