I don't think I've ever read about or seen anyone intimidating anyone with firearms at a polling place.  Maybe it does happen, I just haven't heard about it.  I personally have never seen any intimidation at our polling places.  I suppose it must happen somewhere.

BTW, the photo you posted has nothing to do with gun carrying at a polling place.

FILE PHOTO: Protesters with long guns shelter from the heavy rain during a protest against Governor Gretchen Whitmer's extended stay-at-home orders intended to slow the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) at the Capitol building in Lansing, Michigan, U.S. May 14, 2020. Until this election.  I do NOT want to say "I told you so".  Believe me, please.  I'd be happy to be wrong.  I'd love it of your election ran perfectly smoothly.

I just don't think it will.

And yeah, I figured it was a stock photo.

Anyway... Speaking of Whitmer...

I really do support the proposal that ALL politicians, regardless of party, have to wear the logos of their biggest sponsors at all times.

“No deals, transactions or other business activities ever materialized and, since 2015, the office has remained inactive,” he said.

Any international businessman would have financial accounts in other countries.

That's not the problem.

  1. He paid more tax in China in one year than he did over a decade in the US.
  2. He has spent an inordinate amount of time criticising China, the Americans who do business there and how the US needs to sever their reliability on them.  It's just hypocrisy, is all.

So, following that line of reasoning, any international businessman that detests the Chinese government, but still does business in China, is hypocritical?  What about any person using Chinese-made products?  Look around your house, is there anything there made in China?  Have you ever said anything critical of the Chinese government.  Doesn't that make you hypocritical too?

As for his taxes, any smart businessman writes off as much of his tax burden as is allowed under our current tax laws.  If, as is purported, he actually only wrote a check for $750, that's just smart business.  If Americans don't like it, they need to change the tax code.
