ElDotardo said: Former Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce is now a backbencher and can finally tell the truth about the global warming scare:  On his Facebook page,  Joyce wrote: “The very idea that we can stop climate change is barking mad. Climate change is inevitable, as geology has always shown.” These are the views of New Zealand lecturer of geology, David Shelley. A person vastly more competent than me and the flotilla of others telling the kids the world is going to end from global warming. The central theme of David Shelley’s analysis is that sea levels are rising and have been for thousands of years and will fall during the next ice age which is expected about now, give or take a thousand years.

One or both of these people are lying.

Glad Bud is OK.

I know you have no interest in a reply on the issue, so I won't waste my time.

He won't reply.

All he knows how to do is post memes and op eds from conservative blogs.

He has no opinions of his own.

I'm not following properly - your ex-Deputy PM has come out as a serious Climate Skeptic?

Really?

Barnaby Joyce is not the sharpest crayon in the box.

Strange you had someone like that almost at the top of your system.

Or was he simply pliable and dark forces got him there?

He was second to Tony Abbott.

A climate change denying, misogynistic, idiot.

You think people elect intelligent, competent leaders?

Justin Trudeau is a rare gift to the world.  Angela Merkel is a force to be reckoned with.  Macron has had no scandals or cockups.

Name three others.

I may have posted you this before - the leadership roll call of a typical English-speaking society:

  1. Theresa May, Supreme Leader (for a few days more). As pure as the driven snow. Conservatives
  2. Nicola Sturgeon. As pure as the driven snow. Scottish Nationalists
  3. Arlene Foster. Agressively heterosexual and as pure as the driven snow. Democratic Unionists (ie the Irish anti-nationalists)
  4. Liz Saville Roberts. As pure as the driven snow. Plaid Cymru (ie the Welsh Nationalists)
  5. Caroline Lucas. Green Party (in a civil partnership?)
  6. Ruth Davidson. In a civil partnership. Scottish Conservatives.
  7. Maggie Chapman. As pure as the driven snow. Scottish Greens
  8. And one other - Jeremy Corbyn - hated by Americans. Labour

Okay, once again - I can't tell if you're joking.

You started that list with Theresa May, that is odd.

Nicola, I agree with.  Good choice.

Arlene Foster; anti gay marriage, anti abortion, leader of a party of ignorant, bigoted creationists.  Seriously?  Thank God she's not actually the Irish PM!

I stop the list here, because I realise you have misunderstood the terms of the challenge.

I meant world leaders.  Not leaders of political parties.

And if Arlene is on your list - you and I will have to simply agree to disagree right here on the definition of intelligent.
