I did use that exact analogy? But was using current verbiage to make a point about wars that DO bring about a lasting peace. One side has to loose so decisively that they cease to be a problem. Look up Genghis Con? Rome? Pax Britannia! America saved the world from the Germans, then the Nazis and the Nips, then the Commies, now the Islamic hoard. All failures but two, if we do not fight to win a permanent peace. History shows us that only overwhelming victories bring peace.

Whatever you do, do NOT Google Islamic atrocities! You can not un-see those images.

There are some wars that need winning.

I'm afraid I don't believe you.

That's OK, I forgive you!

Don't you ever accuse me of "Brutalizing their women"! I dare you to Google / You-tube "Islamic torture and execution" videos! Then you might have the least clue what you rag on about.

You were in their country, brutalising their women, but they're the bad guys?

I'm sorry, but I can't let this go. Read some history. Ethiopia is-was a Coptic Christian Nation. It was being invaded by Islamic fanatics, the ELF, Somalis, Cubans, Sudanese and other Islamo-Fascist-Terrorists! We had been there since WW-II, maybe even before, I can not remember the exact date and everyone was happy until the IFTs showed up.

Why do you think they would have to collude to lie?

You've lost me.

Professor Jones was working alone in a tiny office without enough space to keep all the records.

His work was flawed but he'd done it honestly and the conclusions were generally right.

Except in one respect - his results are the only ones that might have showed a 15-year plateau of global warming! Everyone else thought (to 95%  certainty?) that temperature continued to rise after the 1998 peak.

PBS here is so biased no-one takes them seriously.

You're just trolling.

PBS is subject to right-wing pro-war criminal bias and censorship, as over Vietnam.

You brought up Iraq ("Shock and Awe") as has been a huge disaster.

I absolutely agree that nuclear power is the way to go in the future.

We have to get past our fear.

Renewables are supplements, yes, but every little bit helps.

Australia is lousy with uranium, but it has such a stigma attached to it.

That whole big bomb thing, I guess.

I think geothermal energy could be another way to get base load power in a greener way.

You brutalised their women. Same as you did in Vietnam and Iraq.

Then created desperate jihadi, as in every place you go.

Didn't you read that article several posts above?

Depends what the article was.

A lot of climate change deniers post "evidence" that is just some guy's blog.

For me the debate is over.  The climate is changing, the Earth is warming, humans are responsible.

The last clingers on to denial are just doing so because they don't want to change their lives or they just don't care.  Not to mention those who make money from the death of the planet.

After all, it's their grandkids' problem.  And fuck 'em!

I prefer those who ignore the debate completely and just get on with doing their part to help.
