And your whole family would run into a band of heavily armed paramilitary bullies?
All those families with children and the cops in the background wondering whether or not the bullies might massacre the innocent families in the park protesting.

Whether or not they are commonly used in America is kind of a moot point.
The fact is, they exist.
A company saw a market and made this product.
It's evil and it preys upon fear. All the while making a profit from it.
