bml00 said:Do you beleive Tourists are coming to Israel to see damaged or desecrated Churches , do you believe that Tourists are coming to Israel to see Christian Holy sites in ruins or destroyed uhm?
No - you've been keeping them away. Everyone who has looked at it think Israel could be taking 10 million Christian pilgrims a year, but less than 800,000 come. In part because you burn down their accomodation (as at the Church of the Loaves and Fishes) and refuse to fund the repairs from this terrorism.
bml00 said:the capabilities of each Church to run and control their finances is up to them and their controllers not Israel.
Israel refuses to accept the Chrisian leaders nominate by their congregations and forces black-mailable puppets on them who then sell the property to violent settlers.
bml00 said:Finally there are for sure incidents where Young usually Ultra Orthodox Jewish lads have unfortunately spat on priests , it is few , it is very far apart
BM - its a constant problem and you expel people who complain.
Israel - the most anti-Christian regime the world has ever seen.

Your racist thugs went into a Church and jostled the French President.
Disgusting behaviour, BM.

There is an annual list of Anti Christian states and countries headed usually by North Korea - Israel has never appeared on such a list , these lists are prepared by various Christian Denominations , so that blows that tiny canard out the water
The Church Loaves and Fishes or a part of it was indeed burnt by two Jewish fruitcakes - the Insurance company paid most the state paid the balance the Church was reopened better than New and has been for some considerable time
I cant recall the last time there was an incident of Jews spitting on Priests , it is an atrocious habit and as far as I know has ceased some time ago , it is no Worse however than what the Jews themselves suffered .
The French President was not jostled he was being protected in a region where the killing of people no matter their rank or title does not protect them from such acts .
I am not sure how many Christians tourists we have I am sure numbnuts has no clue

A priest inspects the damage caused to the Church of the Multiplication at Tabgha, on the Sea of Galilee, in northern Israel, which was set on fire in what police suspect was an arson attack, June 18, 2015. (Basel Awidat/Flash90) |
The Christians of Israel have been shamefully treated over the Church of the Loaves and Fishes in Gallilee. As so often before.
The Israeli government voided the insurance on the building (as a terrorism attack) but the "Property Tax Fund of the Tax Authority" rejected paying for any of it.
Full restoration of the damage was variously estimated as either $1.7 million or (National Geographic) $1.8 million.
After many months of uncertainty Israel paid 'almost $400,000' according to https://www.timesofisrael.com/jesus-loaves-church-reopens-20-months-after-arson-attack/ or maybe $438,000
$600,000 seems to have been raised outside Israel to partly restore the church.
One of the culprits was eventually sentenced to four years, possibly extended to 5.5 years, but there are at least three more suspected terrorists in a settlement on stolen Christian land adjacent to the church.
The government otherwise ignored the attack, nobody condemning it or attending the gathering and memorial there.
A year later, Jesus ‘Loaves' church attacked by Jewish arsonists still not repaired
July 8, 2016 - Over a year since Jewish extremists set fire to the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes, where Christians believe Jesus performed the miracle of loaves and fishes, the complex has still not been repaired.
Those responsible for the important Catholic pilgrimage site in Tabgha, located on the northwestern shore of the Sea of Galilee, have been waiting for money promised to them by the Israeli government to rebuild.
This week, the first installment finally arrived, Dr. Georg Röwekamp, a spokesperson for the German Association of the Holy Land (DHVL) confirmed to The Times of Israel. But the money from the government won't be enough to cover the damages, officials said.
Fr. Nicodmus, the spokesperson for the Benedictine fathers, said the church is only getting one-third of what is needed to rebuild the sacred site, which was torched on June 18, 2015.
The Benedictine fathers' spokesperson emphasized the site is very important to Christians, especially in Germany. He said German Christians have begun a series of online crowdfunding campaigns to pay whatever Israel won't.
The Finance Ministry said in a statement to the Hebrew daily Ynet that the delay in transferring the money was due to the church's difficulty in representing itself as a legal entity.
Tax authorities had initially refused the church's request for compensation, saying it was not clear that the attack was carried out on "nationalistic" grounds.
The Justice Ministry, however, eventually determined that, based on the charges against the suspects, the attack was related to the "Israeli-Arab conflict" and it instructed that the church be compensated.
Church officials told AFP the sum requested was approximately 7 million shekels ($1.7 million).
However, Wadia Abu Nasser, a spokesperson for the Catholic Church in Israel, told Ynet that the Israeli government appraised the damage at 1.7 million shekels ($438,000).
The arson attack, at the site where many Christians believe Jesus fed 5,000 in the miracle of the five loaves and two fish, completely destroyed a building in the compound. The church itself was not damaged.
Hebrew graffiti was found on another building within the complex, reading: "Idols will be cast out or destroyed."

No it hasn't.
Israel has crippled it with debt and systematically blocks the Christian pilgrims who wish to visit.

The church is fully operational and has been for 3 or 4 years , tourist are not blocked , the church is not in debt and I doubt Israel is going to shoot itself in the foot and stop tourists visiting - common sense must at times over take the deliberate lies of this mendacious idiot Berry
Seriously I don't know why a deliberate liar is tolerated - what has this forum gained?

Especially when he's posting lies.
There is no question that Israel is colluding with the extremists and they are driving the Christians into individual and joint penury.

Christian tourists take part in a ceremony at the Yardenit baptismal site near Tiberias. Gil Eliahu |
The insurance company paid nothing atall for the "Church of the Loaves and Fishes" in Galillee.
The Israeli government paid half of what they owed.
Nasty anti-Christian regime they have there!
Even their own media reminds us of the heavy-handed discrimination against Christians.
A Holy Mystery: Why Aren't Christian Pilgrims Visiting the Homeland of Jesus?
Experts put the potential for Christian faith tourists at 10 million a year, compared with 700,000 at present. What's Israel doing wrong?
May 16, 2017 - How is it that a land in which one can visit both the reputed birthplace and the empty tomb of Jesus as well as sites where he walked, addressed his followers and carried out miracles, according to the New Testament, attracts only a few hundred thousand pilgrims a year? A quick glance at other Christian destinations around the world highlights the conundrum.
Lourdes in France sees as many as six million pilgrims and other tourists a year, who flock to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes. The Fatima shrine in the tiny Portuguese town by that name attracts a similar number. An estimated 1.5 million pilgrims and tourists visit the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
By way of comparison, last year only 350,000 Christian faith tourists entered the Jordan River at the Yardenit baptismal site. A similar site near Jericho attracted just 343,000 pilgrims, according to the Israel Nature and Parks Authority.
Israeli travel agents specializing in Christian tourism estimate that 500,000 to 700,000 Christian pilgrims visit Israel annually. Everyone I spoke to put the potential at 10 million a year.
(Actually, the Zionist media is obfuscating those figures - most of the pilgrims who do visit the holy sites still accesible in Palestine are local Palestinians. Very few outsiders.)
