At least I got you to admit that some of her criticism comes from a place of pure ignorance.

"Admit" suggests I haven't been truthful in the past.

The criticism of Meghan comes from all those people who welcomed her marriage to their favorite prince and who believed that bringing someone of mixed race into the Royal Family was long overdue and who are now bitterly disappointed with the way things have turned out.

And Meghan is being blamed because she wasn't prepared to make the public service sacrifices that all the Royals make and because she took Harry off to the US so she could be with her own friends.  Very few of us believe the self-justificatory nonsense Meghan spouted to Oprah Winfrey. We think this was all planned in advance by a selfish and manipulative person.

The fact that she was not prepared is likely true - what outsider ever truly could be? But the second half of this sentence is pure speculation based on no knowledge of her, her relationship with Harry or her friends.

This is the ignorance of which I speak.  At least you had the decency to use the terms "We think" and "believe" in your other pointless attacks.

Where is she living now?   Montecito.

"This is home to Oprah Winfrey (she calls her sprawling estate “The Promised Land”), Ellen DeGeneres, Ariana Grande, Gwyneth Paltrow and a broad sprinkling of the US’s super-rich whose multimillion-dollar estates stud the hillsides...."

Jealous????!!!!  I'd hate to live in Montecito. It's my worst nightmare- even worse than living in London.

I've lived in the same little industrial town for the last 50 years and love it.  I have open fields in one direction and open moorland and hills in the other. I have neighbours who are always friendly but keep themselves to themselves and respect my privacy as I respect theirs.

The only place that I'd move to if I had the money would be five miles away, and another 1000 feet up on the moors. It's an old Post Office, the only survivor of a railway village that's been knocked down.  It's been converted to a house and it has been on sale three times in the last 25 years. Each time, it was more than I could afford.

Oh, how wonderful it is for you to live a life completely devoid of death threats.

This house they are staying in (not theirs, they are guests of Tyler Perry, of all people) is in a gated community with 24/7 security.  But they have still had to arrange their own due to constant security breaches in LA.  They had death threats on their wedding day, her father still gets them, Neo-Nazis have threatened to murder his child...

I take it you recall Archie was to be provided with no security whatsoever?

But you just keep looking for reasons to hate her.  It's ever so popular these days.

That's correct. If they were part of the Royal family, living in the UK, mixing with the public as part of their duties, they would qualify for 24hr security.

Since they've decided not to be involved in royal duties and have moved to another country, they have to pay for security themselves.

It's their choice.

No, they weren't!  They were told he would have no title, which means no security.  This happened before he was born.

Did you even watch the interview?

Nope, they bought a $14 million mansion last year in one of the most exclusive areas in California - Montecito.  Oprah is their next door neighbor.

I was incorrect. If they had remained in the UK and mixed with the public doing their Royal duties, they would have had security but it would not have been 24 hour security.

"They were told he would have no title, which means no security. "

Of course he would have no title. That was decided 100 years ago by King George 5th. It was not a secret.

Being a Prince or Princess doesn't qualify Harry, Meghan or Archie for 24 hour security  or any security unless they're engaged in Royal duties.

The ONLY Royals to have 24hr security are the Queen, the Cambridges, Prince Charles and Camilla.

The rest, Princes and Princesses included, do not get 24 hour protection and are only protected whilst doing their Royal duties..

When Charles becomes King, Archie and sibling may be granted the title of Prince/Princess but because they're not in immediate line to the throne, they won't qualify for 24 hour security.

Meghan is either not very bright or she's extraordinarily manipulative.
