Sonate109 said:I appreciate your concern. It hasn't been easy especially with the cold weather.
Do you mind me asking where you live, Sonate?
It's cold here too (this is Canada). But right where I'm at (British Columbia) it's actually wetter than it is cold.
I feel most badly about those who live alone, especially older people. A lot of them are truly isolated.

In case you were wondering, the Manhattan Contrarian hereby condemns mob violence without qualification, and whether coming from the left or right side of the political spectrum. By Friday January 8, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had had her team draw up a new draft article of impeachment against t
Read more from Manhattan ContrarianIn the list below, I have included what I think are the six most concerning statements from Trump’s speech. And then I have mixed in various statements from prominent Democrats and progressives with regard to leftist mob violence. See if you can tell which are which:
“Make the phone calls, send the emails, show up. You know, there needs to be unrest in the streets for as long as there’s unrest in our lives.”
We’re going walk down to the Capitol, and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators, and congressmen and women. We’re probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them because you’ll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength, and you have to be strong.”
“I believe injustice is a threat to the safety of all people. Because once you have a group that is marginalized . . . they have no choice but to riot.”
“We will not let them silence your voices.”
“[W]e’re going to have somebody in there that should not be in there and our country will be destroyed, and we’re not going to stand for that.”
“And everyone beware, because they’re [violent protests] not gonna stop….They’re not gonna let up. And they should not. And we should not.”
“We will never give up. We will never concede, it doesn’t happen. You don’t concede when there’s theft involved.”
“I just don’t even know why there aren’t uprisings all over the country, and maybe there will be. . . .”
“We’re not going to let it happen.”
“The cries for peace will rain down, and when they do, they will land on deaf ears, because your violence has brought this resistance. We have the right to fight back!”
“Together we are determined to defend and preserve government of the people, by the people and for the people.”

The museum is about commemorating the previously nameless and faceless people who died as a result of Jim Crow. There's a museum in his honor too because shitty things need to be remembered too.
Give insight into how people were treated because of color. Why wouldn't you want that?

The democrats? LMAO, This pitiful excuse we have for a president was giving the finger to the justice department, to the court justices even he appointed. Had he showed respect for the system, one which BTW was less problematic in 2020 than it was in 2016, and simply conceded instead of feeding paranoid conspiracy theories to the gullible who were hungry for it, the storming of the Capitol would not have happened.
I note that in deference to your actually evaluating the findings of those courts which actually looked at the signed petitions and the findings of small insignificant voter irregularity and abuse and determined that these few errors couldn't possibly have altered the outcome of the vote count to the extent that Trump wanted either all the votes thrown out or a new election, you start up again with the mail in vote as if that was a significant source of error. Very cute!

40 miles north of NYC. Any upper respiratory symptoms such as a runny nose, post nasal symptoms or chest cold results in violent coughing and gagging. Part of my left lung is still collapsed and raw so along with the gagging there is blood. The only way I get it back is by deep breathing exercises which trigger even more coughing. All my upper diaphragm muscles are injured, back and abdominals sore to the extent from the coughing I am unable to sleep more than two hours at a time. I picked up something else, irregular heartbeats which scare the hell out of me. Probably more than you wanted to know. It's in the 20's right now.

If you have never watched his TV shows, seen his documentaries or read any of his books, then I'm sure you can see how declaring him a liar because he is overweight is a tad ignorant.

It was too easy to tell Trump's lines from liberal quotes.
The left are coherent and can construct a sentence.

The Michigan State Capitol Commission voted unanimously on Monday to ban the open carry of firearms inside the state Capitol building in Lansing, a move prompted by last week's deadly mob attack in Washington.

Hate symbols displayed by some of those who rampaged through Washington last week suggest much more than just a doomed effort to maintain Donald Trump's presidential power. It suggests some protestors hoped to trigger a race war, writes Jonathan D Sarna.
