Hmmm, now what was that I was saying about a trolls use of music vids, eh . . .

Troll Hunting by Ginger Gorman.

If you can find it at your local library, it's worth reading, but I won't say you'll "enjoy" it.

But it will put things in perspective.

Are you nuts?

I simply gave you a heads up of what happened to me as a forum wiz for far lesser offences committed by posters. I never threw a tantrum, I was trying to help you out.

You banned RGoss for doing something similar. Why the double standard?

8645 (RedBV) said... No problem at all with em, lad . . . Then why are you trolling about it in a content-free post? Here's the lyrics, without the word that is offensive to look at. la zenaida (con letras no ofensivo para ver)

Well, looks like Red isn't interested. He seems more interested in mindless trolling.

My best guess is that the word is "hormiga" (ant). I suspect that it was replaced by the N-Word by somebody in an earlier version of the karaoke style video.

"Hormiga de ciudad"

"Ant of the city"

Black women selling fruit all over the cities.

Something to look for in any music video from Colombia.

This is Cali, for example. See 0:26 of this tune.

Cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuumbiaaaaaa!  LA ZENAIDA - Armando Hernandez (cumbia colombiana)

My mother-in-law used to smoke cigars when she was young. But she'd do it differently. She would break the cigar into pieces and put one piece at a time in a pipe.

My wife is 5 years older than me. One time one of her aunts from Patia visited us in Palmira. She talked about how my wife would acompany her selling fruit when when my wife was 5 years old (around the time I was born).

My wife didn't remember, until her aunt told her about it. Then she remembered. They would head south from Patia to Pasto and on to Quito, the capitol of Ecuador, where her aunt would rent a room for my wife to babysit her aunt's infant while her aunt sold fruit to short people, as my wife sometimes calls Indigenous folks. (She'll also call them Indos.) Mestizos as well.

When I was born, my wife was already involved in International Trade. She had no passport or visa or anything. And neither did her aunt or the baby. I'm not sure if anybody could cross the border, or if it was just Black women selling fruit who were waved across, because, as the song below says, "Buena gente venda fruita". (Good people sell fruit.)

Here's another tune by the same guy. As the title says, the Black Man is Sleeping. But it looks like his wife wants to dance.

Do you like to dance, RedBV?

Pardon, lad . . . but if you actually posted anything of substance/value then would address it . . . your trolling activities don't fit the bill, lad . . .

I know it is only you, Jen . . . and believe it or not appreciate your efforts . . . as your forum has grown and likely will grow further you might consider taking on some staff . . . I have been in the same boat your in . . . to include with one other person taking over a forum that got on avg. 1,000 plus posts daily . . . having to wade through forum complaints and review posts for infractions and everything else involved in forum hosting . . . but that is part and parcel of forum hosting . . . it can indeed be a PITA, tedious, thankless, time consuming, etc. . . . to the point of wondering why the hell and what the hell . . . and believe it not, should you take on some staff doing those things may well increase . . . 'cause you will get questions from them, review actions taken, etc. . . . all being part of the results of being successful . . .

Anyway, as have said personally think you are doing a pretty good job . . .
