Every protester was to blame, for anything and everything that they chose to do wrong, but I don't see how any protester prevented Hodges from getting out of the doorway?

The police officers who were directly behind him, ignoring his screams, should have helped Hodges to get free. You can't blame anyone, for the Hodges fellow police officers not coming to his rescue.

There has to be another video, coming from different direction, so that we can see what Hodges saw directly in front of him, and if he was being attacked by a protester; other than the protester who yanked off his mask? It's possible, but I didn't see it?

The girl in the red knit hat, is an eyewitness to it all ... and I would take her word for it a she was definitely showing compassion for Hodges. I think the protester in the brown jacket was, also. This protester seemed to point to Hodges while he was in distress, in an effort to get him help.

My guess it, that a LOT of protesters wished that they would have never gone inside the DC Capitol building that day, and wished they had that day to do over again.

If the commission, had that video they surely would have shown it; as they did Hodges video. Dunn claims that he was called the "N" a dozen times that day. If the video does exist, of course, I want to see the proof.

I'm not saying that Dunn instigated the whole mob.

However, his letting the protesters, who he directly confronted, know that he voted for Biden made him the enemy (to them). It was not a wise thing for Dunn to do, as it prompted a torrent of racial epitaphs ... if what Dunn claims is true. And maybe it is true? Or maybe most of what he said, never happened? We need to see the video footage, that the FBI has refused to released; 14,000 hours of it.

Why lie? To make Trump and his supporters look worse, than they already do. The 1/6 Commission, has nothing to do with getting to the truth; it has to do with destroying Trump, and his base, once and for all.

I agree.  Especially the ones in prison.

I would also like to see the body cam footage of any of the police behind him.

The simple fact that many of the rioters were from hate groups like The Proud Boys and Oathkeepers, has me in no way doubting any racist attacks.

How many confederate flags were being waved that day?

This is such a sad statement of fact.

I doubt he would have said it if he were not a 6 foot 7 brick shithouse.

It's been over 6 months.  Many of Trump's supporters have fallen away.

The 2022 midterms are going to be the best test of Trump's influence over conservative voters.

He may turn out to be toxic, as opposed to a "king maker".

I sure wouldn't want to be any of the rioters who are, currently, in prison, and for a lot of reasons. For one thing, I have  always set a good example for my children/grandchildren, and have never done anything that would embarrass them ... and I wouldn't want to start now!

Can you imagine, telling your friends that your mother/grandmother is in jail for rioting at the DC Capitol ... complete with a video, and a mug shot?!!

I'll be on the look out for the pertinent video.

That's a good point, as to the Oath Keepers and the Proud Boys.

So, maybe there was a racist attack.

Still, I'd like to see video evidence.

I'm not sure about the number of confederate flags?

Trump political groups have over $100M in the bank

XXXXX President Donald Trump’s political committees brought in $82 million during the first half of 2021 and have $102 million in the bank, according to federal filings made public Saturday evening.

The figures, shared first with POLITICO, underscore the profound reach of Trump’s fundraising power. While the former president is out of office and has been deplatformed on social media sites, he maintains a massive online donor network that he could lean on should he wage a 2024 comeback bid.

The scenario is virtually unprecedented: Never in history has a former president banked nine figures' worth of donations to power a political operation.

Over the first six months of the year, Trump’s political groups whipped up supporters with claims of election fraud to pull in cash on a scale similar to the GOP's official political arms, the Republican National Committee and the party's House and Senate campaign committees.

The XXXXXX president’s fundraising was spread across three committees: Save America, a leadership PAC he launched shortly after losing the 2020 election; Make America Great Again PAC, his old campaign account which was converted into a PAC this year; and a joint fundraising outfit that sends its funds to the other two groups. Campaign finance disclosures filed late Saturday evening showed that Save America took in the bulk of the funds — more than $62 million — and finished June with just over $90 million in its account.

Leadership PACs like Save America have a $5,000 donation limit per donor, per year, but there are few restrictions on how those groups can spend their money. Trump has spent little from the fund so far this year, but he can use it to pay for travel, events, advisers, ad campaigns, and supporting candidates and other political activities.

There is one notable restriction: The leadership PAC funds cannot be used to finance a presidential campaign.

Earlier this year, Trump also gave his blessing to a newly formed super PAC, Make America Great Again Action, which is allowed to raise and spend unlimited amounts of money. The organization, which is helmed by former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, has already invested heavily to bolster Trump-endorsed candidates in a pair of special elections. The super PAC raised just over $5 million from its founding in early March through the end of June, according to a disclosure filed Saturday evening.

Trump briefly slowed his fundraising efforts following the Jan. 6 Capitol riot but resumed it this spring. Much of what Trump has raised is expected to be used ahead of the 2022 midterm elections, in which the xxxxxx  president is expected to play an active role, according to a person familiar with the matter.

“On behalf of the millions of men and women who share my outrage and want me to continue to fight for the truth, I am grateful for your support," Trump said in a statement.

Trump has been forceful in urging his supporters to route their cash through Save America, even at the expense of the Republican Party’s campaign organizations. During an appearance before the Conservative Political Action Conference earlier this year, Trump said that that the “only” way to give to Trump-aligned candidates was through Save America. In the weeks after, Trump attorneys sent cease-and-desist letters to the party’s committees requesting that they stop using his name in fundraising appeals, which the party ignored.

Trump’s political operation has been sending out a daily battery of fundraising text messages to supporters, many of them reiterating his unfounded claims that the election was stolen. Trump has spent months lavishing praise on election audits taking place in states like Arizona, though a person familiar with Trump’s campaign finances said that none of his groups have donated money to fund those efforts out of a desire not to taint their independence.
