Why are we in the West so eager to judge and condemn? When did we become god?

I saw communism too. For much of my life, I was vehemently anti-communist. I now admit I was wrong.

In polls taken since 1991 in the post-Soviet countries, as many as 75% say that they lived better under communism.

It seems like the New Man was a partial success. Being
 

• invaded by the U.K., the U.S., and 12 other powers (1918)
• strarved by the British Empire's Gold Embargo
• invaded by Hitler (1941, "Operation Barbarossa". 20 million are killed. 70,000 towns and villages are destroyed. A third of the Soviet Union is reduced to rubble).
• under threat of a U.S. first-strike (Sep 1945 onwards, E.g., JIC-329 plan calls for dropping atomic bombs on 20 Soviet cities: Moscow, Gorki, Kuibyshev, Sverdlovsk, Novosibirsk , Omsk, Saratov, Kazan, Leningrad , Baku, Tashkent, Chelyabinsk, Nizhni Tagil, Magnitogorsk, Molotov, Tbilisi, Stalinsk, Grozny, Irkutsk, and Jaroslavl)
• forced to compete with Marshall Plan
• strangled by U.S. sanctions

did not help! Communism in the Soviet Union was distorted because the country was constantly under attack by the Empire of the West.
