The queen's claim to fame is allowing Britain to be come unrecognizable.  Instead of ruling the waves, she waived the rules.

She is NOT merely a figurehead.  Pray tell, to whom is an oath of loyalty taken by her ROYAL Marines, ROYAL Air Force and ROYAL Navy.  Sorry, no clues.  Those entities were derelict in their duty to protect Britain from alien nation foreign invaders and  string-up traitors.

In a nutshell, the monarch's title and loyalty switched from "King of the English" (DNA) to "King of England (real-estate).

Suffice to say, it was considered unhealthy to smoke around uncle Adolf.

But does point out that fuel excise is a vital part of the government's revenue and the money will have to be recovered from somewhere else - probably road charging.
