Be interesting to know this is actually based on science this time or not.
Don't know where you got the picture from, but it appears to be genuine and from China.
Most reports in languages other than English - one claims this wall is 91 metres high. (May be a conversion of 300 feet!)
It is in China.
The "wall of trees" is being planted in the hope it will stop the encroaching desert.
Oh, and the picture came from the article I posted.
