Good on ya' Sky News . . . Sky News Broadcaster Lectures “Selfish, Badly Educated, Virtue-Signaling Little Turds” After Friday Climate Change Rallies (VIDEO)On Friday millions of kids indoctrinated by their far left teachers and bartenders turned lawmakers to believe the world is ending in 12 years held global climate change rallies in Europe and the US. Even activists in Pakistan where millions still have no electricity or running water participated in the climate rallies. |

I REALLY dislike the messenger, but the message is all too true:
To all the school kids going on strike for climate change, you’re the first generation who have required air conditioning in every room. You want TV in every room, and your classes are all computerized. You spend all day and night on electronic devices,” said Jones
“More than ever, you don’t walk or ride bikes to school,” he continued, “but you arrive in caravans of private cars that choke suburban roads and worsen rush hour traffic.”
“You’re the biggest consumer of manufactured goods ever, and update perfectly good expensive luxury items to stay trendy,” said Jones. “Your entertainment comes from electric devices. Furthermore, the people driving your protests are the same people who insist on artificially inflating the population growth through immigration which increases the need for energy, manufacturing and transport.”
“The more people we have, the more forest and bushland we clear, the more of the environment that’s destroyed” continued Jones.
It was here that the letter writer proposed a solution, and Jones read it with clear satisfaction.
“How about this,” said Jones, “tell your teacher to turn off the air-con, walk or ride to school, switch off your devices and read a book, make a sandwich instead of buying manufactured fast food.
Any suggestions?

Apart from the premises about immigration, I totally agree with your post.

There is no polite way to say this.
Alan Jones is a bastard.
Hmmm... turns out I can be polite.
He's a "shock jock". A misogynistic, bigoted, ignorant, loud mouthed ass.
And right now sponsors are fleeing his radio station in droves.

Yes, kids use air-conditioning and smartphones.
But they didn't invent them, and they certainly did not invent planned obsolescence.
You can blame Steve Jobs for that.
Jones is just one voice in Australia right now that is saying these kids have no right to even care about the environment, let alone leave school to protest the inaction.
And these voices are all coming from right wing politicians, and divisive commentators like Jones.
You have a generation of kids who are actively engaged in global, political issues!
How is that a bad thing?

I wonder how large those protests would have been if they had been held on a Saturday....
