When was that? A time when people demanded that women were not "chattel", and had a right to be an actual person, in Constitutional terms, with a right to vote.

Patriarchy is women's first battle, elst the whole earth will die.

There was a time when police were respected and teachers had no fear , there was even a time when kids played in the streets all day and even had fun

I remember that time.

There were lots of kids in our street, so it was just a case of "Be home for dinner".

Helicopter parents might have existed, but I never knew any.

i had my 3 wheeler , my water pistol , I was armed to the teeth even in those days and a group of us just went and went .

When I was 5 I decided to visit my Nan who live 3 or 4 miles away and with my 3 wheeler I got onto the road stopped at the traffic lights did hand signals and of course eventually a policeman (you remember them?) asked me where I was going (a 30 ton Fodden behind me) "Off to see Nan THIR!"
