I'm afraid the £50 has been regarded with suspicion for years now. Many have been faked, it is difficult to give £30/40 change to if tendered and very obvious because of its colour and easy to steal / It is also the currency of money laundering and paying a load of them into the banks will sat the alarm bells ringing!

that is happening here also with the euro. While I have a visa and a debit card, I seldom use them as we are basicly a cash based society here. In fact when tourists pull out credit cards, the locals roll their eyes, because the process takes longer then cash, especially with cards from foreign banks.
As for the 50s, there is two processes, I have noticed. The checker marks it with what looks like a yellow felt tip pin, and holds it under a light attached to the cash register. I don´t know what is supposed to happen, because I have seen none regected, but I think the yellow mark changes color somehow. At the tourist shops and department stores in the city, they run the bill through a slot, and if a bell rings, the cashier, says just a minute and pushes a button. this produces two results, another register is opened, and the line is moved to it, and a security guard comes and takes the checker, the customer, and the note somewhere to await the police. Of course the customer, usually a tourist is not automaticly guilty of anything, but the police are interested in any prior transactions that might have provided her with that bill (note, as I said, I use mostly cash, so when I run low, I simply stop by the ATM, where he notes are already scanned before they are passed out. I seldom ask for more then 300€ wjocj cp,es 4 50s 3 20s 3 10s and 2 5s.
In the cases I have witnessed, it is always in the tourist areas, bus and train termius, docks, or airport, and those checked are always tourists. Logical since locals, such as myself, usually get their cash from the ATM that scans money comming in.

Obviously, it is to check for counterfeit bills.

G=G+1 non seq, I was simply giving two examples of how the problema is checked here, e.g. your post is redundant.

Wait, you can ask for specific denominations at an ATM?!
Ours are just 20s and 50s and whatever they can make. So nothing under $20 and nothing without a 0 at the end.

Nobody here understands the G=G+1 system.
If you want people to respect the system, you need to do a better job of explaining it.

"no body" is an absolute, and very hard to prove, and false if there is one exception.
Besides already explained, but here it is again.
Where "G" stands for a post that is unrelated to my previous post, antisocial, ignores a point already answered,
The function "G=G+1" produces a number. Everyone posting to me has a score of G=0, when posts which are inappropriate are
sent to me, my secretary or I hit a macro that produces this message and deletes the post from my mailbox. As a unique character
string, Delphi automaticly scores those who post to me in such a way that those with the highest value of "G" are ranked from valid to the greatest waste of time and cyber space. "G" is not a put down, simply a response that I see no value in the post, and if important could be responded to with an explanation, a non response, is an indication, that the poster has no justification for that particular post.
As a function, not an equation, this reads "let the present value of "G" be incremented by 1. Much more polite then posting a negative, such as B.S.

True. If someone here completely understands the maths of the situation, I take my hat off to them.
Here are my questions:
