Mr. T (MrT4) said:impossible pre COVID when the price point for .223 has been much much lower.
Oh how I long for the glorious ancient past of 2018-2019, when 5.56 was .30 cents a round all day long.
I had bought 3k 9mm for 13 cents a round at that time period - I should have bought 30k....

Indeed before the COVIDidiots wrecked whole economies, you could reliably buy sub 30 cents 5.55 now 1Euro round is far more common, and True Velocity is in the best time for their launch. In any case, its price gouging they are doing or they have really low rate production by any standard polymer cases should be dirt cheap

Probably a combination of gouging to help recover R&D, but mostly low rate productions. I suspect poly ammo production will be like AK production. Really large capital investments, if run at high volume, cheaper guns. Don't have the volume, price goes up. As long as people don't buy, production volume will be low, keeping the price higher, less sales, thus discouraging higher volume production.
I think TV has a contract to produce .50 BMG for the US military, for aircraft use.
