From memory, my PS90 magazine is ~10-10.5" long. Assuming that this used the same PS90 magazine, that means the barrel for this is also arounf 10", with weapon overall length of 12-13".

So with a folding stock, this would be comparable in length to a B&T MP9, but with a 50rd mag and 10" barrel, yet remaining holsterable in a thigh holster. So very exciting.

A search shows P90 mag length = 10.6 inches.  By my estimate, that puts P50 overall length at a whopping 14 inches!

Which makes the P50 as long and tall as an MP7 sans flash suppressor and butt stock, but also as wide as a P90 SMG.

Personally, I would rather have a PDW that's a lot shorter and slimmer, even if it means having less magazine capacity.

"Legend has it, that after drinking peyote, if you look into your mirror and say George Kellgren's name 3 times at 3:30AM, Kel-Tec will release a gun no one wanted until they made it."

That said, I will probably get an integrally suppressed Sub-2000 first.

Now this I like. I'd use a different cartridge (edit: 5.56x30 MARS specifically), but this is clever! I wonder about the system and the rate of fire.

Edit: RoF is an issue with this design I think because I assume that it is designed as a semi auto with no consideration for FA. So I'd guess at something like 1200 rpm. Taking it down to 700 or so would probably make the gun heavier? In a dream world I'd like balanced recoil, but that is probably greedy.

Having a look at the gun, you have to flip it open to reload. I don't think I'd care to do that when in a stressful situation. This may well negate the advantage of the magazine capacity.

If you can't get the job done with 50 rounds, what makes you think that you'll live long enough to do a reload?   ;^)

There is something about this that makes me cringe when thinking of using this in the field.

PDWs are weapons of last resort for folks that don't know how to use them , for most users you might just as well mount a sound system in a plastic gun looking shape ,making bang-bang noises instead of thing actually shooting.

Keltec is not likely to be issued anywhere but ,still is a cool looking gun.

Was the M1 issued to people who did not know how to use them?
