A member over at ARFCOM has created a complete archive of all the issues of Solider of Fortune, which are free to download:

Some incredible history and nostalgia in there.

VERY nice find.

Now if we could just get the old EAGLE magazine,

and International Combat Arms.

I was heartbroken the day in 1989 I think it was, when I got the subscription notification that Peterson Publishing was ending that magazine. Every other kid in High School in the 1980s was looking at Hot Rod, Wild Biker, and any number of car and motorcycle magazines.

I Found EAGLE and ICA and never looked back.

I dimly remember International Combat Arms. Personally, I wish someone would reprint the old Gold Eagle action novels. Able Team, Phoenix Force, and Mack Bolan.

There was a rumor when I was in the service back in the late 70's early 80s that the FBI had all the people who subscribed to Soldier of Fortune on a LIST!

I'm not sure what being on the FBI LIST would entail. Maybe a black helicopter would follow you around.  Or maybe it was a list from the CIA.
