Oh yes. However, the trainable gun is not a weapon system for armour defeat. It’s for soft targets. Hellfire (or a successor) is for engaging AFV.

In terms of alternate CUAS, I found this video showing the effect of a M134 Minigun. It works, but it becomes obvious why a Proximity airburst would be preferable.

More info on the 30x113, including its broader future and potential upgrades:

....the 30×113 mm ammunition was selected as the caliber of choice to provide lethality while not increasing vehicle weight significantly [over .50 bmg.]

More SHORAD:
Army is experimenting with both Microwaves and Lasers.
But this will be backed up by the Marauder, which is the Stryker with:
-30mm Prox
-7.62 M240
-4x Stinger Missiles
-2x Hellfire 'Longbow' varients with millimeter wave radar targeting:
Whats interesting is that while this is a Air Defense vehicle, it would be exceptionally well suited to ground defense given the 30mm + 2x Hellfires.

In addition to 30x113mm, Stinger Missiles (used in 2-4x packs on the various SHORAD vehicles) will now also feature Proximity Fused Warheads due to the drone threat.

Army now officially fielding 30x113mm Prox:

Interesting. This video says the XM1211 also senses ground targets:
https://youtu.be/d5e-KIu7t3M?t=70
Does that mean the proximity fuze is also able to sense foot soldiers?
And will Stryker brigades have to also field the MACE system in order for Stryker gunners to effectively engage UAVs?

Firing at ground targets, in direct fire mode, with proximity fuze?
That's going to be interesting, for sure!
