Isn't the modification that does not -repeat not- require headspace adjustment at each and every barrel change something materially better than Browning's original design?

The most important fact is that it is still the same basic design. An enhancement does not change that fact.

I would note that since the type of war souvenirs one can bring home as been restricted, America has had less success in winning conflicts.

Yes, I think the US could absolutely solve the recruiting crisis if War Bringbacks were not subject to NFA / Full Auto restrictions.
