I have in past participated in a number of MPK hosted events in Finland. Its truly impressive what a small 'non profit' organization like MPK is capable of , its basically maintains proficiency of thousands of reservists at less than 500k $ a year through some 200 courses it host per year, all volunteer work only covering expenses.
New rifles are definitely an unexpected expenditure as they just bought new Aks in Korea 2y ago . Note these purchases were in a way forced by new firearms legislation that banned high-capacity mags and folding stocks for non-reservists.

Sweden , do know the reasoning aside from inertia, in any case, our Finn colleagues always joked Sweden is ready to fight to last Finn and then hoist a white or rainbow flag and surrender.
I seems i have to start making some phone calls to Finland about some barely used AKs
