Hello All,

I consider myself pro-feminine.  However, the "second wave" feminists do propagate many toxic lies about human sexuality that harm men-women relationships.  Here is a partial list of such lies:

1. All sexual intercourse is rape (Andrea Dworkin).

2. All men are rapists. (Marilyn French)

3. Porn is anti-women and denigrates women.

4. Women don't want to be sex objects--the fact is that many women do.  Why do women pay so much attention to their appearance?

5. Men are promiscuous while women are coy.  Modern research on human sexuality has refuted this claim.  In the new book, "What do women want," it is found that women are just as primal, animalistic and base as men, if not even more so.

6. Women don't enjoy being dominated by men in sex.  Well, the popularity of the book "Fifty Shades of Grey" has made a strong case against this claim.

In summary, the modern research findings about female sexuality contradict conventional wisdom and feminist rhetorics.  They shed light on female sexuality that is not politically correct.  It is time to face up to this fact.

Not taking sides here but also not something I've lost a lot of sleep over. Just not on my radar.

No. I don't have to respect your beliefs.

No doubt there are "feminist lies."   There are also masculinist lies.  The battle of the sexes goes on.

“Pro feminine” ?

Claims to be a professor, but doesn’t distinguish between the claim “some women enjoy the fantasy of being dominated by men” and “all women enjoy being dominated by men”.

I think you are displaying an unhealthy pov here. The positions you criticize are misrepresented:

You doubt that porn is anti-woman and denigrates women? You have evidence that many women want to be sex objects? You think that a popular pornography book presents evidence for women enjoying being dominated by men "in sex"?

I do not deny that reality is complicated and complex, but you babble against all evidence and you present no evidence for your claims yourself. You sound like a man who wants to have it his way and does not care much about the other side.

I also noticed what pro-feminine could mean and what it does not mean: pro-women.

What would those feminist lies be?

The battle of the sexes in the sense Ken stated is a war of aggression by men and a war of defense by women. Not that women are always in the defensive position in the thing that is actually known as battle of the sexes, but this is about rape and porn and subjugation. Ken's position is indistinguishable from that of a very sick man who mistakes the world for his fantasy.

My point here is that both men and women are capable of telling lies.  In fact I know of no lies told by feminists.

Then it looks like we agree here.

What confused me was your choice of words: feminist lies.

I was simply using the phrase in the original post.  I should have said "feminist lies" with quotation marks as it is not my phrase and it is not even a phrase I would use.

Often advocates of a position will make strong statements that I think lack credibility.   But as long as the advocate believes what he says the statement is not a lie.   And the idea that someone might try to persuade someone else to a believe he does not have when there is no real reason to do so does not make sense.

Turning back the odometer of a used car and selling it as a car with low milage is a true lie.  That kind of thing does not really happen in discussions of ideas.

I suppose you should tell Ken that not me.
