Americans' obsession with guns are killing us. Other countries don't have this problem, why do we insist on clinging to 19th century justice and neanderthal attitudes?
AGAIN: A California teacher (also a reserve police officer) unintentionally fired a gun while lecturing on public safety. No, really...— Shannon Watts (@shannonrwatts) March 14, 2018

All the problems you mention are very real.
The suggestion is not to arm all teachers, or just any teachers, but only teachers with the same training cops get. (Assuming you can find them.) But of course even highly trained cops make mistakes and shoot the wrong person.
So many things to go wrong with arming teachers. So many things to go wrong if we don't.
A good post. Very real problems. Even if the gun is kept in a secure locker what is the probability that she could get to the gun in time?
"Airport type security" will not stop a gunman from pushing his way through and shooting people.
So there is no solution to gun violence other than taking away all guns?
Any suggestion for how we might accomplish that without leaving guns only in the hands of criminals which leaves us all defenseless?
Yes, such things can happen even to the best of us. Something to consider for sure.
Stoneman Douglas student tells 60 Minutes why arming teachers is "stupid." Emma Gonzalez, a survivor of last month's school shooting in Florida, is fighting for gun safety.
