Off topic, i read the Chicago Bears are looking into buying Arlington Park for a possible stadium build ala Hollywood Park, LA.
A classic the land is worth more than the venue. Think they buy??

I never paid much attention or bet this track on a knowledgeable way, save their big day.
The parties interested, Dah Bears..a former prez of the track; and in the City of Chicago blessing involvement from a tax incentive or give back, and no Casino or plans for one perhaps (support racing and revenue operating streams add hotel, entertainment, living quarters..
For sure as is, the track alone is not the jewel in the deal.
The article purports Dah Bears may be in the hunt for reasons of initiating to keep their present lease extended and modify existing stadium.
My personal Chicago answer is I'll go with the buyer who will give us/Chief & Dogs each 2 no show jobs.

Off topic.
Just read Pink Kamehameha suffered heart failure during the Gr3 Unicorn Stakes in Tokyo, Japan. His connections have to be devastated by seeing this. I think PK won the UAE Derby during DWC weekend in March.
3 year old...Rest easy, gone way to young!

Happy Father's Day to all.
Yes, people deeply love their animals. In some cases more than people.
In racing there have been people who have lost a producer stallion and are just devastated about the animal and sincerely not about the potential financial loss.
We have to value life's trip.
