I was listening to Appleby in a post-race interview this morning & he thought all 3 Godolphins were ready to run competitively, favoring Hurricane but not surprised that when the big colt on the inside got rolling he wasn't going to stop. Gave all credit to Kirby & also pointed out that Adam "broke in" all 3 for the outfit. Very enjoyable Derby this year, IMO.

Kirby did a fantastic job to win from stall 1.He knew exactly what he had underneath him

Toyed with the King George field..
Looks to be improving tremendously..
Joy to watch gallop.

Just superb. As you know, the first since Galileo to double up The Derby & The King George. Adayar was so eager early ( reminiscent of Frankel's exuberance to go, go, go) & despite that energy draw still had plenty to be running by the far the best to the wire. Appleby has an embarrassment of riches in this one & Hurricane Lane\.
Friend sent me a cool photo of Adayar with Charlie's kids:
