I went back over his (TP's) races, carefully. I looked carefully at his earlier dirt races at shorter and he seemed very fast. Then I watch his race at TP again. I was concentrating more on his sire DI and his speed at shorter when I originally looked at him w/out seeing all the stamina on the mare side. I think I was wrong about him and you were right.
Truth be told, I was kind of not looking closely at him or Tapit Trice because in the back of my mind I had them set aside for the Belmont Stakes.

Both should be coming in the Derby after 8.5f mark on a fast track, with a good trip
I have both on my ticket as noted on my ten before the Draw.
I like the one who rates and loves to be covered up close and drafts
between horses and moves forward like a Nascar and his Jock fits him
like a glove no matter the grade of the race. Best under the Radar work
by a few including me and I also liked a couple of other works. EDIT Two Phils 2nd place.

Interesting in relation to foundation.Personally,I think both are quality animals but this is too much too soon

Exactly, If Pletcher did his job he would tell his clients with Derby Fever to get another Trainer
and take the loss from his purse, and or enter at the next level race . 2 for 62 is crazy
3 or 4 a year

I would prefer a conservative trainer. It’s like hiring a financial planner and ignoring his advice.Like you said, the trainer should put the horse first and tell their clients what is in the horses best interests
