9th Race Churchill Downs - Saturday, September 16th, 2023 9 entries all Lasix Free
I can't bet the chalk, with the Scratch of the 7 , 3 Union Roll is the only P style left
in the race and should be used in IMO with the speed in this one turn Mile.
I Like Union Roll 5-1, Edified 8-1,Risk It 2-1, Patriot Spirit 7-2, These are the 4 I will use in my exotics
I May put a win bet on Union Roll 5-1 or Edified 8-1 at race time ,this group of 4 are my best picks for ITM.
picked for the speed holding on, or breaking down, you might want to add one more to this strategy for 8 horses
using wheels to spread out. Good Luck.

Do you know why the Cox horse, Gettysburg Address, scratched? I read just yesterday that Cox said he's sure he'd love the stretchout.
I wonder if he's doing like some others and testing his own horses pre-race for overages? Then, late scratch to avoid the inevitable penalty?

I was thinking the same thing.
I just now checked why.. HEHEHE, no I was looking for the spacing of his works and races.
Last race Aug. 6 , if you get a chance look at his pattern of works for this horse
12 days 4f, 9 days 5f, 6 days 5f fastest and longest work, 7 days last work 5f, 7days race day 5f.
vet scratch......... that a 1 that I know of . what did defunded have 4 or 5 vet scratches.

I always liked it when WT updated vet scratches when she gets them. saved a lot of dinero.
A good tool for the old tool box dontcha think. Transperanacy!!!
If they would tell us why !

I just looked at the workout pattern for this one. It looks like he should have been ready to roll today. I would very much like to know the reason for all the late scratches. It's not too much for a bettor to ask.
Cox is not a fellow I trust, at all, anyway. His stats are unbelievable. Better than most of the greats through the ages by a lot.

25 percent win lifetime, 30 million in 2021.
top horses 6 weeks in between races with works that can slowly be unmasked week to week
or work to work by race day. him and Pletcher
And no reason given gets old like you say. A bettor if done right would not have to ask
and gets the runaround asking for the answer Man playing kick the can in places he shouldn't be stuck in
