The closers were winning all day and you knew the front was going to back up with as fast as they went out.

The other half was one E type and all E/Ps with a lot of high Q points. Fastest I expected was :23 + change and 46 + change. Never :22 or :45. Half the field misread the pace.

I don’t know if anyone has mentioned this already, but Rich Strike has one of the strangest breeding I’ve seen. He is so inbred, it’s no surprise he tried to “eat” the outrider after the race. They may as well have named Hannibal! Smart Strike all over the place. He was bred by a big time org, then claimed for $30k. The new owners struck it rich indeed!

Talk about an alpha. He was so hyped up he had already chewed up his competition but was ready for seconds lol.

You have to go back four generations in Rich Strike’s pedigree to find a sireline that isn’t RAN, ND, or Turn-To. Keen Ice’s first crop but his dam’s seventh—after six fillies.

I thought Rich Strike's pedigree was RAN/RAN with Smart Strike as the BMS - similar to Mine That Bird.

Running up the rail runs in the family...
