Early Voting looks like the need-to-lead type. Epicenter seems content to lay back but stay in within range. Will this be another strangely run TC race? It would be funny if EV got away with :24 and change and :49 at the half.

Like the end of a basket ball game where the team up in score just slows the game down...challengers to Derb winner should not spend ball out front giving Derb winner time to wind up his closing run.
Don't be surprised to see jocks pulling wooden road blocks out of their boots to block off the rail
Derby winner is 2 for 2 at/on Church surface. PIM terrain could very well spoil his game. As no success and beaten by Derby runners in pre Derby races on different surfaces

Dogs, you corrected me and said it was at a 1 mile. I just looked on Equibase and the stats do say 1 3/16 miles. Prior track record held by Farma Way in 1991 in 1:52,55

Hi Chief when your last/final time given in the thread was. 1:34.57.....fast track.
I just thought it might be when they ran the Preak at a mile.
If the Derby winner can beat Steve Azz and Epi again for the mid Jewel he'll shake his head and it will roll into the infield.

Got to reach my heartstrings to make me cry: Owner like the horse Phoenix rises from the ashes...

Steve mentioned trainer's daughter's remarks; I thought they were before the race. That the family would run OK and respectable 9th finish. But after the race...this one's a cry and laugh..at the same time

Rich Strike is not some dumb race horse.. Pocks his lips to scope surroundings. Telescopes his next to survey the land.
