Hay guys! Here's my picks for the Lecomte from the Fair Grounds! Thanks so much for watching and good luck!

The physical dirt on the FG track is as a rule slow; as compared to most loam mixtures at other tracks.
Even when FG maintenance, prior to a race for purposes of souping up/ making faster, the effect is not like that at other tracks. Say, creating better times due to exhibit an overall better Track Variant for the card. Add weather up or down.
Accordingly, these roll out-January sophs in this Derby point race; for the most part, display PPs on surfaces with more 'help from grooming of Mother Nature's track installed earth.
Endurance to perform upon the Louisiana loam gravitational factor is key in this one. (Just) Getting the distance. Based on easily enough all running the distance; yet at six furlongs it is already a surface tiring expedition to the long tiring furlongs to get home and back to the barn.
Six furlongs will be over 1:12:00 a neutralizing number for the field at large.

A case in point would be Hot Rod Charlie who in nearly all cases earned a paycheck on all the dirt put in front of him.
And set the track record for albeit a distance not often run. Mile 3/16 in Louie Derby. The terra was his cup of tea. Stamina grinder.

I like Trafalgar here for an upset......just bet him at 135-1 for the Derby.
The favorites look good here too, obviously.....Presidential may have a shot to hit the board too, I'll play him underneath.

They all went too fast up front, making it possible for a big upset by Desormeaux's horse.....well ridden by Graham. D

The connections expected their 2 say 3 favorites to at least repeat perhaps improve on their PPs; physical and mental maturity and facing a field of, on paper handicappable lesser.
But, as I said above, and in greater detail....

Real long stretch helps catching speed , Her pick was pretty good for this front runner,
On this track he ran his eyeballs out IMO.
BTW Pappacap got his Highest E speed number in this race E 96.
First 2 received a E 97
