Well, just when you think it can't worse, they card a race for ONLY Baffert 3 year olds....yep, that's even more preposterous than the San Vincente today; at least there was one horse in there to sort of compete. This race has 4 Baffert colts entered, and that's it. A Derby points race that will award zero points. What a joke....

Just hoping Cox,Asmussen and Pletcher ship some horses in for the big point races;it might teach Baffert a lesson

I saw Baffert work four horses together at SA today, and they called it the Robert B. Lewis Stakes! :-{
As a TVG announcer said, his team wins every year, and still he gets all the lottery picks every year, to use a basketball analogy. Other trainers are tired of it, and are refusing to legitimize the race by entering.

I actually don't think that's the case, Raes. One of my close friends is an owner there, and they just can't get the horses Baffert does. No one held out a legitimate contender to spite him....he literally has all of the 3yr. old non-Cal breds that can run on dirt

That’s my point! Maybe I wasn’t clear. I didn’t say anyone was spiting him. The analogy I referred to indicates that if winning teams got the top draft picks every year, they would remain the winningest teams. That’s why they normally draft in reverse order to how they finish.
Baffert gets the million dollar babies almost exclusively. Not only that, but the number of juvies he gets is probably greater. The fields out west already are trending small. If I were a trainer, I would look to see where the Baffert charges go, and try to go elsewhere, but he has so many, he can run four in one race, and still be represented in every other race. Doesn’t seem fair to me!

I watched that, That was Interesting 2 or 3 Anchors Talking about it, with good solid views
one Married to the Trainer Dan Blacker.
Back in the day a trainer was allowed so many stalls for his string,
its been reported this year Baffert has over 30 3 yr olds in addition to his older's string.
How many of those will we even hear about in 2025 or know where they are.
where is his 2020,19,18,17 etc crop of 3 yr olds, same for Pletcher, Cox, etc
Feb-5
I can't either, How can anybody in their right mind think this is good for racing and Christine
Blacker was scratching the surface in the problems and Hope her Parent Company
doesn't think it was a conflict of interest even with positive feed back from others that
work with her, telling it like it is from her view. Imo.
