Wow have things gone downhill. See Sally Jessie has a couple but wow.
It's never been a great prep race for the KY Derby. A speed track that favors speedsters who often turn out to be milers, and most of the horses who win end up doing squat in the KY Derby or barely running ITM . In this year's version 1/2 the field came out of the same race! So they will just beat up on each other again. Not seeing any Holy Bulls here, heck, not even any Hansens, but if only US racing photograhy would take photos of the horses standing still,so I can see their phenotype (shoulders, croup, length, etc.) but unfortuantely all we get are photos of them crossing the finish line and you can't tell anything by those. JAPAN does such a better job at this.
Just glancing at the field, and since I love Confidence Game, I'll root for Rocket Can with Mott, I like horses who have run at 7F for this race and he ran against some pretty good company so far. He also raced and won in slop and I believe it may rain at GS on Sat.
Longshot:
Mr. Bob - looks like an Audible type to my eye so I'll give him a shot here.
For under:
Shadow Dragon - another Mott and gets the right rider for this race
Cyclone Mischief - looks speedy enough but his highest fig was on Lasix, which he won't be getting in this race
Il Miracolo - His md sp wts at GS aren't too shabby, and I liked his pedigree
Superfecta ticket entry: West Coast Cowboy - he may be like a slower Dialed In and do his running in the stretch. Of course Dialed In was a ton faster than him though.
Will have to see what Legacy does. I can't trust a horse who drifted at only 1 mile. I didn't see that race but maybe he was getting wobbly legged in the stretch.

Agree totally with this statement. One I keep coming back to other than those you noted, is Lord Miles. Equipment change and a hot jock.

Since the inception of the points system, the old traditional first preps have fallen out of favor of the trainers pointing to the KD.

You may have it. Good luck. I see possibilities there. Smartys nums support you.

Can't believe so many fell for cyclone, his last figure was inflated due to first time lasix in that race, so I left him off my tickets altogeher.
