Figured we needed a topic for this one.
I'm looking at Pletcher's Cairo Consort right now. She has a truly gorgeous wingspan --- but a turfer and will proably remain on turf but has a lot of nice dirt influences in her pedigree. Still, I will be watching her. Mostly posting because I really think she is incredible.
She had a bad break, I mean really bad, like 6-7 lengths bad----race caller called it properly as "disastrous" ......then trailed the field (she's not even in the picture for most of the race)......you see her floated 4 wide.........then rider takes her out 7 wide...... and came running down the middle of the track to win the race.
She is post 7 here. Really unbelievable:

Have also enjoyed watching Wet Paint run.
Adding Justique purely as a sentimental reason.

Oaks Pool past performances http://www.brisnet.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Oaks23Future1.pdf
Note that the Oaks pool closes half an hour after Derby Pool 5, meaning 6:30PM EDT on Sunday (Derby pool closes at 6).

Looking forward to Magical Song, Songbird’s first foal to race starts in a maiden route on Friday 3/17. Magical Song, the daughter of Songbird, (sire Tapit) gets her third shot at a maiden win in race 7. A fast-closing third making her career debut in a 7F Keeneland maiden last October, then a 6th place on Dec 31 at OP. Maybe she will do better coming off the shelf. (Brad Cox, Whisper Hill Farm). Never know how Mandy Pope's band is going to fare.

TY Tex. She's not on there. She's been off the shelf for a while, hope she can do better now inn 2023, since those other 2 races in 2022. I know she can do better than 6th.
Track was...........muddy again today. (go figure LOL what else is new here in AR). I left my car window cracked, bad idea. Can't do that here until July/Aug/Sept when it stays dry
