The present number of Kentucky Derby point holders tied under + near 20 give cause to believe that upwards of 9 can get KOed. Possibly 3 in this Flo Do.

Factor Jockeys hungry and looking for a Derby colt and three trainers who will run their TC entered steads to get in and not one's with points enough to be in at this stage. Assuming owners and trainer have tacit agreement. Yet money talks.

Todd admits not happy in Post Draw.

Gulfstream distance races stats not favorable to outside stalls (Dec to now).

Not only have some not ran a 2 turns, but ran out of shutes. Mile and eighth this time gate on the track. Big Deal. And Todd said wasn't too pleased on gate draw.

Hey, the next race has 20 stalls.

For fun..Wonder if the 4/5 odds on Forte considers owner Mike Repole hammering his star colt.

Depending how this colt Forte runs against the fractions is a highly determining factor as to possibly winning the Ky Derby. And what helps in this race is the 6 fl specialist in the race, as a reasonable factor.

A great example of this is Essential Quality. His priors into the Derby needed a 1:12ish at 6fl to get home the winner. (Won Trav,Belmont). COVID TC ran out of order)

And EQ's Derby did him in because he couldn't close on faster earlier times in the Derby. That was to be expected.

Irad Jr and Todd likely to plan and have Forte sitting 5th for the run to the finish. And a gallop out for more.

In a practice mode for the extended distance of the Kdy.

And yet the weak field looks cooked at 7 fl.

.Dirt routes at Gulfstream have long favored horses from inside posts, and that is again the case with horses from posts 1-4 far outperforming the rest. Horses breaking outside post 7 in dirt races at a mile and longer are 1-for-24 so far.

i'm using in a boxed tri #2 West Coast Cowboy and #4 Mage w/ #11 Forte, this was before you posted info on inside posts 1-4 v. posts 7-12.

I don't usually like using E horses in races but in this case i hope i'm right.

Still think Forte gets ITM.

Arkansas Derby is a toss up IMO, hard capping race.

Made comment in Sunland Derby to you...

Along the lines

Perhaps a Horizontal pick 3 with the thought that Forte as the free square used by most bettors; if he gets beat.. exponential ticket.

Yet; a weak crop, weak field with little underneath in racing.

Yeah, thought the same about a weak crop. Just thought using Forte as a filler on tri's and supers is a must.

Sunland Derby....the OTB's up here near Buffalo wasn't taking bets on that card for some reason maybe weather?

I would have had the 2nd and 3rd placers but not the long shot winner.

Was a crunchy outcome but  two Derby point getters in Sunland have put up the $6000 in Trip Crown fee as a result of performance, near deadline. Ten others signed up, but none but not on my want list.
