$1,000,000  100-40-20-10

Field:
1 Jungfrau Paco Lopez 20-1
2 West Coast Cowboy Sonny Leon 20-1
3 Shaq Diesel Miguel Vasquez 30-1
4 Mage Luis Saez 10-1
5 Mr. Peeks Edwin Gonzalez 30-1
6 Nautical Star Leonel Reyes 30-1
7 Il Miracolo Jesus Rios 30-1
8 Mr. Ripple Edgard Zayas 30-1
9 Cyclone Mischief Javier Castellano 8-1
10 Fort Bragg Joe Rosario 5-1
11 Forte Irad Ortiz Jr. 4-5
12 Dubyuhnell Jose Ortiz 6-1

Looks like the low odds horses all got outside posts.   Including Fort Bragg who moved over here from the Sunland Derby, maybe still liking his chances better here? Forte better have his racing shoes tuned.

Forte could be last and backers dont care. Could call it public workout. He doesnt need points. And there r no world beaters in this crew.

Mage could surprise and he drew very well. I do understand Forte is a deserving favorite. North

He doesn't have to win, the others need to run well. He just needs to get some exercise. That was my only comment.

I will. You had a nice 5th and I mean that! I wasn't that high on that one. When u speak I listen. I'm not even a big Forte fan. I think he's a  really good one but I like others as well.

Personally I have not  seen a better colt than Forte yet. However if looking for some value in exotics Mage and his ML of 10-1 fits. I never understood the whole doesn’t need to win, just a tightener angle. As Herm Edwards said “you play to win the game”. Whats wrong with a huge first place payout and a G1 victory?  Not specifically asking you, just saying. I always look forward to your picks pianot. Great time of year! Good luck to you. North

Looking at Mage to fill out my super. Other than Nautical Star and Forte this is a speed laden race all E and E/P types including Mage.

Have to use Forte along w/ Fort Bragg and West Coast Cowboy for a boxed tri.

Forte might get tested somewhat down the stretch but i believe he prevails here.

It's so rare to see a 12 horse field with a 4/5 ml favorite.  Can't remember the last time I saw that in a Derby prep.

It's partly because so many of these don't belong in this race.  What's Saffie doing?  He has 4 colts in this race and two of them have not competed around two turns yet?!?  One is still a maiden?  They have all be racing with Lasix?

Maybe Dubyuhnell will run better, perhaps Fort Bragg, maybe even Cyclone Mischief.....someone else WILL qualify to run for the roses probably, if 40 points gets you in, but should they run?  I guess we'll see after the race.  But Forte looks like a monster compared to these.  I'll take Mage or Dub for 2nd I guess....but doesn't appeal as a betting race to me
